Hugh Herbert

Stage actor, comedian and playwright who wrote over 150 plays and vaudeville sketches. Born August 10, 1884 in Binghamton, New York. Died March 12, 1952 in North Hollywood, California. In the 30s he worked mostly for Warner, impersonating often eccentric millionaires, tycoons and dimwitted professors. In a few movies he collaborated on the screenplays, e.g. on "Hit Parade of 1941".
