Kansas rhythm & blues / garage rock band fronted by Larry Hurst. Originally performing as The Debonaires, the group kept the name for about six months before changing to The Keys in late 1959 / early 1960. The group cut two singles out of Wichita. The first single was recorded in 1962 and is the first recording of Jimmy Carl Black, famous for his time performing later with The Mothers. Black was fired from the band, which prompted him to move to California.
