Songwriter in the mainstream of country music, born in Murfreesboro, TN, and raised in Nashville TN. He continues to work with artists like Marie Osmond, T.G. Shepard, Terri Gibbs, The Forrester Sisters, The Osmond Brothers, Silvia, Michael Johnson, Kippi Brannon, and many others. His most successful song to date is “I’m From The Country” sung by Tracy Byrd, which earned him the 1998 SESAC Country Song of the Year Award, and helped him get another song recorded by Tracy called “Summertime Fever”. Stan also has a co-writing credit with Pam Tillis for the song “Drawn To The Fire”, which was featured in the movie Thelma and Louise.
