Domingo Raúl Palacio, General Deheza's Cordovan where he was born on December 31, 1946, artistically known as “Rosendo Arias” and Ofelia Leiva, born in the Corrientes capital on November 7, 1950, formed one of the most remembered duets in music coastal. Rosendo and Ofelia have recorded more than 15 albums for important labels such as "Odeón", "Music Hall" and "Polygram", records in which they had the collaboration of prominent instrumentalists such as Alfredo Alonso, Agustín Maidana, Cachito Pérez, Lidio Reyes, Trabuco González, Oscar Sánchez, Manuel Enrique Aguirre, Hugo Leiva, Choli Soria and closer in time, the bandoneon player Juan José Banuera who accompanied them for almost 2 decades and his son Ariel Palacio. At the dawn of the new millennium, the duo “Rosendo y Ofelia” became one of the highest points of the revamped “National Festival of Chamame and Mercosur” in Corrientes, until the physical disappearance of Rosendo Arias, which occurred in Buenos Aires on April 30, 2007. Ofelia kept her memory alive by touring stages such as the first day and recording new material as a soloist, until her retirement from music in the 2016 edition of the “National Chamame Festival”, where in a tremendous performance, she said goodbye to her audience that in large numbers approached to dismiss her.
