Amaguq

Built upon the ashes of stillborn and imperfect projects, AMAGUQ consists of three individuals dedicated to occult metal music. Created in 2010, the band underwent several name changes and line-up modifications until it reached its final form in 2015 under the name of AMAGUQ, the Wolf-Devil of ancient Inuit mythology. Originally from Canada, now located in France because of academic commitments, BR (bass, vocals) and SR (drums, keyboard), two brothers of Inuit ancestry have been joined by AK (guitars, vocals) to form a powerful and vicious trident devoted to war metal. Highly influenced by Finnish mad kings of Beherit and Impaled Nazarene, fueled by the fury of fellow Canadian warmongers Blasphemy and Conqueror, AMAGUQ’s only goal is to destroy everything in sight while praising the old Gods of Kalaallit Nunaat.
