Indigo Lanterns (circa 2000) is an aural scroll painting by Solunison (Gary Niemann) of North Am, whose life-altering experience took place at age 19. Formative influences: Enchanting overtones of so-called dissonant intervals. Tuning between radio stations, akin to Charles Ives listening to marching bands approach from separate directions. An abandoned tape recorder bathing all signals in a sea of white noise. Serendipitous integration of wilderness sounds.
