In 1972, Gilles Vincent introduced his children early to the world of music and entertainment. Katie (Katy) 10 years old then played drums and sang. Steve 9 years old played guitar and Joanne (Joan) 6 years old did comedy and sang with her father. For about ten years, they performed on the Côte Nord and in the Gaspé Peninsula. There was even a fan club. In Montreal they obtained contracts and worked for Mr. Richer, Mr. Tremble and Mr. Grimaldi's wife, who at the time owned a theatre agency. It was from 1984 that the family stopped performing in shows. Mr. Vincent continued alone or with one of his daughters, performing in telethons and volunteering time to help the sick and disabled.
