Tom Henderson (4)

American bassist from Spartanburg, South Carolina. Henderson graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio in 1988. He played bass for the indie rock band God Rifle in the 1990s. In 1998, he went to work as a hydrogeologist with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality. He left in 2001 to pursue a doctorate in hydrogeology from the University of British Columbia, before returning to the department in 2004 and working to restore streams and water systems harmed by mining. Henderson died in October 2018 at age 53.
