Rósa Guðmundsdóttir

Rose Guðmundsdóttir , Vatnsenda-Rose or Poet-Rose (23. December 1795 - 28. september 1855), The Icelandic poet and midwife of 19. century. Various skaldic poetry it quickly became known and people are still prominent. Rose is no less known for their lovematters and eventful life. Vísur Vatnsenda-Rósu (English: "Verses by Rosa of Vatnsendi") is a traditional Icelandic song. The lyrics are a poem written by Rósa Guðmundsdóttir (1795–1855); the melody is a traditional lullaby, arranged by Jón Ásgeirsson (1928–) in 1960.
