Marcelo Añez

Marcelo Añez has collaborated with thousands of teams in over years of career. He brings to the table a vast experience and knowledge working with sound, and integrating it into the group’s final goals. As engineer, acoustic consultant, as master sound designer, mixer, even as storyteller, his deep relationship with the world of sound is what enriches every project he becomes involved with. Based in NYC for 14 years, working as Sound Designer, Sound Engineer, Acoustic Consultant, 5.1 Mixer, music mixer, recording engineer [ 8 Grammy nominations, 4 times Grammy Award Winner ]. With credits that include work with The Met Museum, MoMA, PS-1, TATE Britain, Sundance Film Festival, Times Square Alliance, Michael Kors, CreativeTime, The Pulitzer Center. Theater sound design work at 3LD Center for the Performing Arts. at La Mama, Columbia University, The New Ohio, INTAR, HERE, PS-122, CSC. With theater companies like One Eighth, New Georges, Caborca, 3-legged dog, Chris Henry & Royal Family Productions, and others. With extensive experience in audio-post, recording and mixing for online, TV and radio spots. As well as oral history projects, like ArtCart, The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation archives, among others. He interned at Crescent Moon, Gloria & Emilio Estefan's recording studio, and became part of the music production machinery of that city, what came to be known as "The Latin Explosion" at the time. This is where he received his first Grammy Awards.
