Luiz Cosme

Luiz Cosme (Porto Alegre, March 9, 1908 – Rio de Janeiro, July 13, 1965) was an important Brazilian musician. Son of José Pereira Cosme, connected to the arts, in his house he met the first modernist generation of intellectuals from Portalegre, such as Augusto Meyer, Theodomiro Tostes, Athos Damasceno, Armando Albuquerque and Radamés Gnatalli. He was the brother of artist and violinist Sotero Cosme.
