Kevin Kelly

Kevin Kelly is an active instrumentalist and engineer. In the 70's and 80's he recorded and/or mixed many commercially released records for artists including Blondie, Edgar Winter, Rick Wakeman, and many others. During the 80's he also focused on music for film, recording/mixing or performing on soundtracks and soundtrack albums for many feature films including The Burning, Playing For Keeps, Tokyo Pop, Crossover Dreams and Freddy Kruger's Freddy's Greatest Hits. From 1989 through 2015 Kevin Kelly was the coordinator of the Studio Recording Technology program at Nassau Community College, while continuing to freelance engineer and play bass on many projects. Since 2015 he has gone back to making records full time at his new facility The Workshoppe East (20 miles due east of his first SPARS member facility from the past). Here at The Workshoppe East in the last three years alone he has mixed 17 full length albums from various artists mostly in the folk, Americana and rock genres - many with chart success including artists Ray Lambiase, Rupert Wates, Rorie Kelly, Linda Sussman.
