Ruth Vale

American big band and radio vocalist who sang with the orchestras of Dean Hudson (2), Richard Himber, Shep Fields, Mario Armellini, and Jimmy Hamner in the 1940s. She started with Himber in 1940, allegedly at age 17. She was also known as "Ruthie Vale". She married saxophonist Buck Skalak in the early 1940s.
