Swedish music publisher and lyricist, born on May 13, 1867 in Hedvig Eleonora, Stockholm, Uppland and died on April 20, 1946 in Bromma kyrkobokföringsdistrikt, Stockholm, Uppland. Gehrman was, 1881—88, assistant in book and music stores in Stockholm, Sweden and in Helsinki, Finland. He founded in 1889 in Stockholm, together with Oscar Hesslin, a music store, Gehrman & co., which took over Julius Bagge's music store. In 1892 Gehrman also purchased Julius Bagge's 'Musikförlag' (Music Publishing Company), handed over the music trade in the store to Hesslin and started the limited company AB Carl Gehrmans Musikförlag, or alternatively named as Carl Gehrmans Musikförlag AB, in 1893. Gehrman transferred the publishing house in 1930 to the married couple Inge Bahnson-Rosenborg and Einar Rosenborg, and with Einar Rosenborg as the main stakeholder and leader.
