Jussi Huovinen

Finnish rune-singer, said to be the last one in Finland to have learned the ancient rune songs via oral tradition. He was also an accomplished artisan, sculptor, instrument maker, fiddler, and kantele player. Born: 2 April 1924 in Hietajärvi, Suomussalmi, Finland Died: 12 May 2017
