Memphis Beale St. Jug Band

End of the 70's Memphis jug band composed elder performers fromthe 20's / 30's and younger academics and revivalists. Project of Dr David Evans. A later, similar project of his is the better-known Last Chance Jug Band. David Evans also recorded Hammie Nixon, the better-known elder member of the band, on his High Water Recording Company, supported by himself and other "junior" members of the Memphis Beale St. Jug Band.
