Freelance recorder player based in London and Glasgow. László was born in Budapest in 1989, where he began his musical education. At the age of fifteen he entered the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna where he pursued preparatory studies with Helge M. Stiegler. He continued his studies with Peter Holtslag at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hamburg and later on at the Royal Academy of Music in London where he graduated with distinction in 2013. László studied chamber music and historical performance practice with Gerhart Darmstadt and has participated in numerous masterclasses with Anneke Boeke, Daniel Brüggen, Paul Leenhouts and Han Tol, amongst others. In 2012 he won the prestigious AHRC Postgraduate Award. As a soloist and chamber musician he enjoys a varied freelance career both in the UK and abroad, including performing with early music ensembles such as Spiritato!, Ianus Consort London, Ars Eloquentiae, Elbipolis Hamburg, Camerata Trajectina or Bassano Ensemble Berlin. Furthermore he had the opportunity to gain orchestral experience through projects with Laurence Cummings, Elizabeth Wallfish, Margaret Faultless and as a guest member of the Hamburg Symphonic Orchestra. Recent projects included touring with Charlie Barber’s Michelangelo Drawing Blood throughout the UK, participating in the premiere recording of The Judgement of Paris by Daniel Purcell with Spiritato! and performing with the Ensemble Senesino throughout China.
