Sri Lankan-born Swedish drummer and percussionist, born 13 May 1980. During his youth, Thomas was raised in Luleå, Tanzania and Umeå. He's a full-time musician for several years. Thomas has in recent years become one of the most versatile and prolific drummers. In addition to his membership in Umeå quartet The Perishers, he has appeared both live and on record with, among others, Cult Of Luna, Deportees, Khoma and the French band Phoenix. Hedlund's dynamic, modern style has a characteristic that, despite the above-band-sized musical differences, means that you know his sound. In addition to his technical skills he possesses also a great rhythmic imagination that made him an internationally sought-after drummers. Thomas is now playing even with Adam Tensta. NOTE: Not to be confused with Thomas Hedlund (2) who is the drummer of Ancients Rebirth, The, Autopsy Torment, Karnarium, Pagan Rites and Tristitia.
