He was born in Tantoyuca, Veracruz, on January 7, 1909. He died in Mexico City on December 16, 1983. When he was eight years old, his father taught him to play the huapanguera guitar and the jarana, typical instruments of the region with five strings. He integrated into his youth a group of huapango and with them, at the beginning of the thirties, he became known for the first time nationwide through radio. He was also part of the groups: Los Chicanos, Los Trovadores Huastecos, Trío Chachalacas and the Tlalixcoyanos. He participated in three films: María Eugenia, El Embajador and El Jagüey de las Ruinas. Work: (songs) La Huastequita, Las Canastas, El Gallo, Mi Prieta Chula, Dos Caminos, El Mosquito, Sin Compasión and La Víbora.
