Phil Dawson

Phil Dawson is a UK-based guitarist, writer and producer. His album It's Time is out on Funkiwala Records, a blend of afro and spiritual jazz, free improv, spoken word and roots grooves. "Freewheeling... dazzling... mind-expanding" - Jazzwise Phil has performed and collaborated with Tony Allen, Mulatu Astatke, Hugh Masekela, Osibisa, Khaled, Dele Sosimi, Soothsayers, Johnny Clarke, Michael Prophet and Cornel Campbell and a large variety of Brit jazz and R'n'B projects and artists.
