Jim Trimmier

Saxophonist born and raised in Dallas, Texas. In the 1970s, Trimmier played with the bands Liberation, The Nightcrawlers and Cobra. He then joined the touring show band Flyer, remaining with them until 1984. This was followed by time at the North Texas College of Music, where he received a Bachelor of Music In Jazz Studies. Since 1989 he has lived in Austin, Texas, where he owns the South Austin Saxophone Studio. Since moving to Austin, he has played with The Vanguards, The Big Pow Wow, Mr. Fabulous, the Zachery Scott Theater, and Duck Soup (which he joined in 2001) among others.
