Terence Rattigan

Sir Terence Rattigan (10 June 1911, South Kensington, London — 30 November 1977, Hamilton, Bermuda), Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE), was a British dramatist and screenwriter. Many of his plays centered on sexual frustration, failed relationships, repression, and reticence, mirroring his personal struggles as a closeted homosexual. Rattigan extensively collaborated with filmmaker Anthony Asquith (1902—1968) who adapted ten of his works for the movie screen.
