Alcedrick Todd

Jazz trumpeter based in Texas, USA Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Todd started playing trumpet while attending high school in Lafayette, Louisiana, at the age of 14. Todd continued to study jazz at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and during that time was asked to audition for the The Glenn Miller Orchestra, becoming the first African American to join the orchestra. In addition, he has performed with artists such as Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band, Bo Diddley, Tito Jackson, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Irma Thomas, Trombone Shorty, The Neville Brothers, Dr. John, and Delfeayo Marsalis.
