Titus Crijnen

Titus Crijnen is a contemporary Dutch harpsichord-maker who works in Spain since May 2007. Crijnen specializes in copies of well-documented, historical harpsichords and clavichords with minimum alterations (such as adding transposition or extra notes). He replicates many ancient techniques in his workshop, such as an almost exclusive animal glue usage, combining it with limited application of power tools, such as a band saw or belt-sanders, to increase his average output to around ten instruments per year.
