György Kovács

Hungarian composer and audio engineer. He had been the trombonist of the ÉDOSZ Central Symphonic Orchestra from 1958 to 1967 and the lead guitarist of Futurama from 1962 to 1970. Between 1965 and 1993 he was employed at MAFILM, the Hungarian film factory. During this period he contributed to approximately 90 films in sound engineering, and composed music for several films. He was the sound engineer of ca. 70 albums of Hungarian artists. In 1990 his work was recognized by receiving the Béla Balázs award. He was elected as the board member of the Hungarian Audio Engineering Society in 2010.
