Aka Bistrouille A.D.O. One of the first Belgian amateur jazz orchestra, founded in 1920 by two students, the brothers René (drummer) and Marcel (banjoist) Vinche to entertain people at parties in clubs in Brussels, Belgium. The orchestra was first named the Bistrouille Amateurs Jazz Kings (referring to the Mitchell's Jazz Kings who were very famous in Belgium in the 1920's), but then switched to Bistrouille Amateur Dance Orchestra. Some famous Belgian jazz soloists were part of the orchestra: David Bee (joined 1922), Fernand Coppieters (joined 1922), and Peter Packay (joined 1925) to name a few. On January 15, 1926, Félix Faecq organized the first jazz concert in Brussels, with among others the Bistrouille A.D.O. and the Waikiki Jazz Band.
