After being discovered performing locally in Charlotte Amalie, he was hired to entertain on the cruise line from U.S. Virgin Island (Former Danish Virgin Island) to Denmark. Following this he stayed in Denmark, where he had a calypso/novelty hit with "Cha-cha-cha Balls" in the late 50's.
