Alberto Pizzo

Born in Naples on the 13 of March 1980, Alberto Pizzo studied piano when he way very young , in 2004 he graduates at Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella in Naples and takes part in various piano contests, national and international. In 2006 he obtains second level degree in Concert Piano, at the same Conservatory in Naples. In February 2007, as solo pianist, he plays the music for a Rai International show about Vincenzo Bellini and for GEO & GEO , a RaiTre show. In 2009 holds a concert at the Japan Stock Exchange , as a solo artist and with soprano Yuki Sumani. In 2010 he enters Palco Reale of Gianni Sergio. In 2011 moves to New York, he plays in jazz clubs of Manhattan. In 2012 Alberto Pizzo makes Funambulistper la Cinevox Record. The album contains covers from Ennio Morricone to Goblin, traditional neapolitan songs and new songs. Saxophonist Francesco Cafiso joins the album as a special guest star. In November, at Cabarete Jazz Festival he meets Fabrizio Sotti, with whom he co-produces On The Way. Other guests in the project, recorded in the spring of 2013 live from New York Bunker Studios, are Fabrizio Sotti, Mino Cinelu, Renzo Arbore, Toquinho and David Knopfler, who writes with him a song recorded in London in October 2013
