Charles Stephen Lawrence Parker -- English/Irish Composer, Pianist, Bassoonist, and Painter Born in 1961 in Leicestershire, England and emigrated to Ireland in 1982. Studied composition and piano at the Royal College of Music. Studied composition with Oliver Knussen. Taught and gave solo recitals in County Tipperary and at Trinity College and the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin. Noted as an abstract expressionist painter. Several covers of Vienna Modern Masters' CDs of "Music From Six Continents", which also feature his compositions, display Parker's paintings as cover art.
