Born in Australia in 1972, Alexander Boyd is on the piano staff at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the University of Birmingham. Boyd made his Concerto debut in 1983 with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Since then he has performed across the globe, and has recorded works by Chopin, Schumann, and Debussy to name a few. He has developed a love for the music of Spain, and has set out to record a great deal of Spanish repertoire for piano.
