Curt Golden

Guitarist and instructor based in Seattle, Washington, USA (born and raised in Virginia). After attending the Berklee College Of Music, Curt played in a number of rock, blues and jazz bands. He attended the first Guitar Craft course in March 1985 (founded by Robert Fripp), and then recorded and toured extensively with The League and Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists between 1985 and 2017. From 1987 to 1997 Curt lived in New York City where '(scream)' was written and recorded. In 2004, Frank Sheldon, Curt, and Jaxie Binder joined together as the producers of a new performance entity, a location-based production of ensemble guitar music to be performed 'in the round'. A group of guitarists quickly came together to realize this vision and from those efforts Tuning the Air was launched, presenting 225 weekly performances over a period of seven years. In December 2011, Tuning the Air was performed for the final time. Curt continues his work with the Seattle music community, exploring the possibilities of guitar-oriented ensemble work.
