Belgian classical conductor and composer Born Reet March 12th 1952 His father, who played the violin, gave him his first music lesson. At the Hemiksem music academy he studied with Marcel Slootmakers and piano with Liliane Esser Herchuelz. He then studied at the Lemmens Institute in Mechelen and later in Leuven with Lode Dieltiens music theory, Frans Geysen harmony, Jos van Looy counterpoint and fugue and Matthy Niël composition. In 1974 he obtained his diploma in composition and music education as main subjects. He completed his studies in composition with Willem Kersters at the Royal Flemish Music Conservatory in Antwerp. From 1977 he teaches counterpoint, fugue and electronic music composition at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven and since 1979 he teaches harmony and composition at the Royal Carillon School Jef Denyn in Mechelen. Since 1994 he has been a guest teacher for HaFa conducting (theory) at the Royal Flemish Music Conservatory in Antwerp. As a composer, Hadermann wrote works for symphonic orchestra, wind and fanfare orchestra, piano, choir and chamber music. In 1993 he was awarded the SABAM Prize for wind and fanfare orchestras.
