Bernard Baschet

Bernard Baschet (August 24, 1917 – July 17, 2015) is a French sound designer and composer. Former engineer from "École centrale" in Paris, Baschet has been working for Groupe de recherches musicales at Office de Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (ORTF) from 1962 to 1965, before leading extensive researches with brother François Baschet. Since 1953, Baschet brothers have coined a family of new sound objects named "Structures sonores" (Sound structures) and "Sculptures sonores" (Sound sculptures).
