Sidney Hann (Lambeth, 1867- Wandsworth, 1921) was a chorister at the Chapel Royal, and studied music at the Royal Academy of Music, where he won a medal. He was organist at the Church of St James, Clapham Park (1886-1888), St Mary, Islington (1888-1907) and Brixton Independent Church (1907-1921). He was also the Grand Organist of the English Freemasons from 1915 to 1916. He taught music at various schools, including Queenswood School (then at Clapham, now at Hartford, Hertfordshire), and also played as a concert accompanist. He was a composer of hymn tunes, such as "Love Came Down at Christmas. He was a second cousin of E.J, Hopkins.
