Banjo and mandolin player in St Louis. Missouri. Starting on banjo in 1972, Miller has played and recorded LPs and CDs with bluegrass, Old Time string-band and klezmer bands , including The Muddy Bottom Boys ( Portland, OR, Grassroots Records LP “Howdy Neighbor “ with Stacy Phillips on Dobro, 1980-84) "Chirps" Smith, WV fiddler Bobby Taylor , fiddler Rhys Jones and guitarist Jim Nelson, and Yidn Klezmer Band, on mandolin. First place in the Traditional Band contest at Clfftop Appalachian String Band Festival 2004 with Big Missouri. Miller is also a banjo teacher. He founded and taught for 10 years at The Folk School of St. Louis, starting in 2000.
