Member of Humaniztikz and Modfunk. Martin Tigermaan – is a Polish music producer, promoter and entrepreneur. Involved in music since he was 17 yo. His surname is derived from the Chinese zodiac sign from which he is and has been combined with the Dutch word "maan" (moon). Started develop his musical talent at the age 17 by creating a classical music duo DJ & MC with a school friend nicknamed Platoon. Band was called Trials X. Debut album (one and only) became probably the most important release (on a cassette tape) in a history of Polish rap culture in the mid 90’ies. The main music video “Czujee się lepiey” (eng. “Feel Better”) appeared in the main public channels of Polish television such TVP and TVP Polonia, other video was played on Polsat channel. Finally music from the MC has been remastered and re-edited in 2014 by Fonografika record label onto CD because the previous release been blocked. Today album is classified as one of the hip hop classics in Poland. In 1999 together with MODFUNK (1999-2009) duo he went into direction of dance scene and have already made a huge impact on the dance music, with three music albums, animated videos, numerous singles and remixes to their name - collaborated with remarkable Polish and international artists like: Philippe Zdar, Demon [Grammy nominated], Da Fresh, Ben Delay and polish artists like Brodka or Reni Jusis. First dance album has been released in 2002 and contained elements of classic house, funk, r&b and jazz and was hailed as one of the most important debut albums on the Polish club scene. MODFUNK thereby Tigermaan has since produced a number of other club tracks for a range of independent and major labels including Machine Gun Ibiza Records [London], Help Yourself [France], Lou Lou Records [Belgium], Warner Music [Poland] and Sony BMG [Poland]. Each 12” single had a surprising rating i n DJMAG: 4 stars out 5 and good international feedback. Since 2005 to 2010 Tigermaan is a co-owner and A&R in a Warsaw based label SEEK Records. Under this label he’d disseminated records with Modfunk, Tigermaan and Autor-X and many other artists, also inviting them to collaborate in a remixing works. Second LP called “Emofunk” was released in 2008 and features guest appearance by Philippe Zdar from the French super-group CASSIUS and John Webb from the U.S. formation Love Meets Lust. The video for the hit single SHOWTIME this time was created by the talented Swiss graphic designer named Yehteh. "Landgrab" is an another original title of the third Modfunk studio album. The album was released in 2012 and it was a return to the lighter sound style - house and nu-disco and leftfield. Although well-known artists do not appear here and most of the tunes are instrumental productions. In all these activities he matured to be not only a music producer but also active promoter collaborating with music clubs, agencies, artists, even organizations like French Institute or Pedagogical University in Krakow. Brands like SEEK Records, Projection label, FastMuzik, DJMODSHOP (2002-2005) or FastMuzik Booking agency finally led him to create a label brand called Life Is Music Entertainment .
