Об исполнителе:
Full name: Ademiro Jose PARIS Miranda. Born Mindelo, Sao Vicente island, Cabo Verde, 1979. Acclaimed singer & multi-instrumentalist, specialized as percussionist, drummer and guitar player. Miroca comes from the musical family lineage of 'Paris': grandson of 'Knick' Paris, nephew of Tito Paris and Toy (Antonio) Paris. During his career spanning over 20 years, Cabo Verdean /Portuguese singer and multi-instrumentalist MIROCA PARIS performed with Cesária Évora for over a decade, recorded a Grammy winning album, toured with Madonna and is flourishing on stage with his own music. Drawing on his vast rhythmic knowledge, he’s created his own unique guitar playing technique; forward driving, playful, surprising and fresh. You can hear all that and more on his acclaimed debut album D’alma (‘from the soul) released in 2017, premiered at WOMAD that year. You’ve probably seen him perform live without knowing it was him: For 12 years the Cabo Verdean multi-instrumentalist toured the world as Cesária Évora’s percussionist and backing vocalist. For years Miroca Paris is doing what the ‘Barefoot Diva’ always wished him to do: to share his own music with the world and continue the legacy of her work. To sing his heartfelt stories front and center, while accompanying himself on guitar - like he used to - growing up in the Cabo Verde Islands with his toes in the sand. Miroca Paris has been performing on stage with his live band in four continents: from Portugal to Canada, The Netherlands to Azerbaijan and beyond. He's released one studio album: D'alma (2017) and a live album: Miroca Paris live in Warsaw (2022). A new studio album is expected in 22/23 Afropop Worldwide (USA) April 2022 live review: "Miroca Paris - what a sensation" FRI (FR): "Une vie de la musique" Deutsche Welle (DE) April 2022 Jazzism (NL) feature: "Miroca Paris - Afro fusion" plus 4 star review El Pais (SP) “We’ve fallen in love with rhythm again” PRI The World (USA) “He’s a man of many talents, singer-songwriter, gifted guitarist and percussionist.” More: Miroca Paris — After Cesaria Evora's passing he furthered his career and excelled playing alongside and sharing the stage with renowned international artists such as Angélique Kidjo, Aline Frazão, Bana, Boy Gê Mendes, Camané, Celina Pereira, Cuca Rosetta, Nancy Vieira, Sara Tavares, Teófilo Chantre, Tito Paris, Cesaria Evora Orchestra and many others. Before focusing on his own compositions.
