Secular Musics Of South Yorkshire

Об исполнителе:
Secular Musics Of South Yorkshire was a one-off project of British electronic musician and producer Mark Fell, best known as a member of Snd duo. Under this alias, Mark recorded Reproduction – a track-by-track reconstruction of 1979 album by The Human League, released by Bottrop-Boy label in 2003. It was Mark Fell's first solo album since 1-3 / 4-6 12" single, released by Hobby Industries in 2000. Fell used Human League's Reproduction as a source material to produce a new glitch/experimental album of exactly same length with a matching tracklist. Secular Musics Of South Yorkshire's rendition of Reproduction sounds completely unrecognizable from the original, and The Human League apparently don't have any legal issues or copyright infringement complaints about it. Even though Mark never had a direct feedback from the band about it, one of his friends told Philip Oakey about Secular Musics… in a private conversation. Mark Fell also performed 'Reproduction' live several times, for example at 2004 Earrational Festival in Den Bosch. South Yorkshire is a county in England, where Sheffield (home to The Human League) is located.
