Swedish musician and song educator, born April 22, 1953 in Avesta. Sonnbäck, who is the daughter of clerk Gunnar Sonnbäck and small-school teacher Margit Eriksson, studied music science at Stockholm and Uppsala University, graduated with a singing pedagogy at the Stockholm Music Pedagogical Institute in 1980 and conducted song studies for, among others, Solwig Grippe, Dorothy Irving and Madeleine Uggla. She was one of the founders of the Swedish Artist and Music School, later Kulturama, and employed there from 1974 to 1985. She was active at Dalarö Folk High School 1978-1981, has been a teacher at the Royal Academy of Music and at Sjövik Folk High School in Krylbo. At the latter, she later became responsible for the music line, but ended there in 2014. She held concerts, made gramophone recordings, starred in radio and TV, was a choir singer, participated in pub shows and toured in the national parks with Jerry Williams. She has released I went out in the sun and other songs from Folkarebygden (1984).
