Mike "Moose" Smith

Moose is primarily a radio personality. His radio stations include WKIX-AM in Raleigh, NC, WYYD/WYLT-FM in Raleigh, NC, WTRG-FM Oldies 100.7 in Raleigh, NC, WLTY-FM & WVKL-FM in Norfolk Virginia, and WCXL-FM Beach 104 in Nags Head, NC. For a brief time in the middle 1980's, he worked at Reflection Sound Studios in Charlotte, NC. From August 1, 2008, through May 24, 2014 Moose operated the internet radio station "Comboland Radio" which featured rock music from North and South Carolina and southern Virginia but was heavily focused on the bands and musicians from the Triangle and Triad regions of North Carolina, Comboland. From 2002 through 2019 Moose was the Vice President/General Manager of a cluster of radio stations in northeast North Carolina including WCXL-FM Beach 104, WCMS-FM Water Country, WVOD-FM 99.1 The Sound, WFMZ/WZPR-FM Classic Rock 104.9 & 92.3, and WYND-FM ESPN 97.1. From 2007 through 2020 he was co-host of the most listened to radio show in northeast North Carolina and the Outer Banks, "Moose and Jody In The Morning" on Beach 104. Moose is now a real estate agent on the Outer Banks.
