One of the most prominent Danish producers. Born 20 December 1946 in the village of Bramming (near Ribe), he moved to Copenhagen in 1968. Was 1969 employed by the local record company Sonet as photographer, designer and handyman and produced handmade covers for Povl Dissing, Burnin Red Ivanhoe, Pan (2), Alrune Rod, amongst others. From 1971 employed by the newly started Danish branch of CBS as a designer, promoter, media and marketing man, and later talent scout and producer. Discovered Gasolin' and co-produced their first album. Started his own small label, Mona Lisa in the mid 70's before making his industry break through in 1978 by starting Medley Records with Michael Ritto. It was the largest Danish indie label throughout the 1980's with names such as Kim Larsen, D-A-D, Lars H.U.G., One Two (2), Laid Back, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Hanne Boel, Lis Sørensen, C. V. Jørgensen, Sort Sol, Kliche (2), Sebastian (5), Sko/Torp, Michael Learns To Rock, tv-2, and many more. In 1991 Medley Records was sold to the British EMI Group and Bruun continued as manager of the new company EMI-Medley for another seven years before taking a step back from the record industry. Per 2014 Bruun spends most of his time painting and writing but still owns a small production company and continue the collaboration with Kim Larsen. In November 2014 he released his autobiography entitled "Hit, shit og albuer" ("Hit, Shit and Elbows").
