American big band singer and violinist of the 1930s and 1940s. Sang with the orchestras of Isham Jones (1933-1936), Johnnie "Scat" Davis, and Jan Savitt (1942); for the latter and Abe Lyman (1939) he also played violin. In 1951, Martin released two records on Coral. Later he performed at the Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia and ran his own entertainment agency.
