Swedish composer, born July 2, 1838 in Stockholm, died July 14, 1916 in Stockholm. He became a music teacher at Katarina's general educational institution in Stockholm in 1857, organist at the German Church there in 1869 and music director in 1884. He composed a Requiem, songs, organ pieces and cantatas published by the Musical Arts Association. He is best known for the cantata Svea, to Esaias Tegnér's poem of the same name. The cantata was performed at Oscar II's 25th anniversary as regent in 1897 and received an overwhelming reception. "A masterpiece in the way of composition", wrote Östgöta Correspondentens reviewer. Lundh received Litteris et Artibus in 1892. Lundh wrote many textbooks, including a Harmony Theory published in three editions. He was elected an associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 1910.
