Jimmy Farrell (2)

American big band and Broadway vocalist. He sang in two film shorts in 1935: "Johnny Green & His Orchestra" and "Radio Rhapsody". He sang in the Glee Club and graduated with honors from Hobart College at Genoa, N.Y. For a short time he taught school before becoming a professional singer. He and Marjory Logan sang all of the vocal duets and solos with the Green Orchestra, on records and radio broadcasts. Farrell went on to sing in Broadway shows, such as the 1936 Ziegfeld Follies, in which he introduced "Midnight Blue", "Banjo Eyes" (with Eddie Cantor) and "Paradise P.M."
