Christopher Clarke is a British piano-maker and expert on antique keyboard instruments based in Donzy-le-National in Burgundy, France. Clarke opened his Parisian workshop in 1978. He is one of the few contemporary makers who fully preserves authentic production methods and techniques from the XVIII-century, rejecting any forms of industrialization. Thus, Clarke's replicas, which on occasion require up to 1500-2500 hours of labor to complete, are highly-regarded.
