Powerotik

Powerotik is a band that combines the genres Industrial Rock, Metal with some pop tendencies. Founded in Costa Rica by the multi-instrumentalist and composer Darien Castillo in the year 2012. A little time later Darien decides to incorporate a supporting live band, so he contacted several musicians, between these they are: Jimmy James (Guitar), Alonso Valverde (Drums) and Yors (Bass).That same year occurred the first live show of Powerotik as a band on Costa Rican National TV channel 15, sometime later they began to play at different festivals and local events. In early 2014 Darien decides to create a new album with the objective to expose new material and to show a more solid concept of the band, this album is title “Violent Murders”. It was created under a concept more aggressive but equally with pop tendencies following the way established by the band, was released on May of this same year on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, SoundCloud and other digital platforms. On November 28th of 2014 Powerotik was the opening band of HOCICO’s first show in Costa Rica. In 2015 Powerotik collaborated for hocico’s album “ofensor” with a remix of the song "Ofensor", released on November 27, 2015 through Out of line Records (Germany) and in MAY 12, 2016 was the opening band of another hocico’s concert in Costa Rica. In june 2017, Powerotik released a new single called “Liberty” with a lyric video that was presented by the mexican magazine “filter Mexico”. In January 2018, Powerotik released a new album called “There I Will Be” and a few days later the new songs were broadcast by international Radio stations from Russia, France, England, Spain and Costa Rica. Recently, in January 2020 was released a new single called "Cold Blood", was broadcast on Ràdio Blanes from Catalonia, Spain - Radio Transparence From Ariège, France and HRH Radio from London, UK. Darien Castillo produces all music and lyrics in Powerotik and has a great bandmates that complement a great live show.
