Joujou Pavelescu

Romanian actress, singer, famous during 1930's - 1940's, daughter of Natalia Pavelescu, also actress and singer. Born on the 20th of August 1912 in Bucharest, she died somewhere in the 1990's, also in Bucharest. In the first part of her career, she was a revue actress, just like her mother, at Alhambra and Carabus theatres. In the 1940's, she played at Colorado, Sarindar and Uranus theatres, being for a short time the head of the Colorado theatre. After the communist takeover of Romania in 1947, she played at the National Theaters in Craiova and Ploiesti, until her retirement.
