The Blagan band was founded in 1990, in the spirit of the young and alternative rock of the beginning of the decade, by Yuval Mesner, a member of the "Tatu" band, and Dan Toren, a member of the "Shonra" band, with their friend Dana Berger who at the time was discharged from the IDF after her service in the Nahal band. The band operated at the time of the "Carmela Gross Wagner" band, with which it collaborated in writing and putting on joint shows. Eran Tzur, a member of "Carmela Gross Wagner", was a member of the band "Tatu" and a creative partner of Yuval Messner. Together with Yair Gat on bass, Dror Margalit on keyboards, and Gal Hadani on drums (who was later replaced by Rea Mochiach), in 1991 the band recorded its only album, "Gan Eden Ironi (Urban Heaven)", which was released on the market in March 1992 on the record label "Phonocol". Mesner and the rest of the band arranged and produced music with Micha Michaeli advising on the arrangements. The two songs that stood out from the album were "Professional Men" and "Quiet", written by Yona Wallach and composed by Yuval Messner. The song went to the radio stations and was played a lot even before the release of the album. The band broke up in 1992, right after the release of their only album.
