Mexican pianist, born in 1949 in Mexico City. He began his piano studies with his mother and later took private lessons. He received his bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering and music from UNAM, and his master's degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music. In 1979, he won the First Prize at the National Arthur Rubinstein Contest in Mexico, and has been awarded twice the prize of the Association of Musical Critics of Mexico.
