However, the Wiener Beschwerdechor is not a “normal” choir. It is an art project founded in 2010 by media and concept artist Oliver Hangl. Under the direction of Stefan Foidl, the Wiener Beschwerdechor performs interventionistically and mostly unannounced and acts in a context- and location-related manner with every performance. As a mouthpiece for the city's population, as an outlet for typical Viennese dissatisfaction and subtle grants. Motto: "It's easier now, you got some air, do you think you can change something?" Not only local greats like Der Nino aus Wien, Sir Tralala, Karl Schwamberger, Willi Landl contributed to the constantly changing repertoire of the up to 50-strong vocal union of discrepancies , 5/8erl in Ehr'n, Voodoo Jürgens, Manfred Rebhandl or Fuzzman, but also the endless complaints that arrive on the choir's website. Oliver Hangl: The Wiener Beschwerdechor has been singing on the stages and squares of Vienna for more than eleven years - time to release the first album in the anniversary year 10+1! Since the foundation, we have also regularly invited musicians to write complaint songs for us, which, like Nino aus Wien's "Unentschieden gegen Ried", even turn out to be a radio hit. Our irrepressible desire to always try new things is reflected in our musical range, which we expand with every new song. Get excited!
